Apple Wireless Networking
Since the move I haven’t really spent much time messing with our home network. With me having a home office now I have had the need to improve our home network and make our wireless network stronger. I was using a Linksys router and it worked, but is has been a pain. I wanted something that was easy and trouble free. Since I am mainly using Macs now and I’ve seen how trouble free they are I decided to try Apple’s Airport Extreme Base Stations. I have one upstairs and one downstairs running in what Apple calls a Wireless Distribution System or WDS.
It was very easy to setup and thus far I am very pleased with the performance. I know this might sound funny but, things just work better on Macs, even Mac wireless products. I can’t believe it took me so long to turn over to the Mac side…
Fire!
Tonight I was alone which doesn’t happen very often. Scout was over at her grandmothers and Ronda was at Cuckoos Nest rehearsals. While the girls were out I decided to catch up on some work. After my work was done I decided to roast some marshmallows. I started up the fire pit and was on my way to some good roasted marshmallows. I had my blackberry with me at the time and thought I would try the camera function while it was dark to see the results. I must say I’m pleased with the results.
Do you have any good camera phone pictures?
Happy New Year
So, it’s 2008 already, it seems like 2007 went by so fast. I guess time does fly when your having fun and enjoying life. We were very lucky this year as we rang in the new year with all of our good friends. We probably had close to thirty people over at the house and everyone had a great time. Since I was playing host, I didn’t even think about taking out the camera. Fortunately Zoot was one of our attendees and took many pictures. She got some great shoots of her daughter and Scout playing in Scout’s new kitchen.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy new years. I wish everyone the best of luck in 2008.
