Don’t count your eggs!
As the old saying goes, “Don’t count your eggs before they hatch.” The process of buying a house has been a very long and in depth process. I lost count of how many time our lender has told me, “Hey, Steve you’re all good to go.” Then the very next day, call and ask me for additional documentation on something or ask me several questions containing to something that happened seven years ago. Then today I find out that our closing is on the 30th of this month and not the 31st. Not that this is a bad thing. So the moral of this post, don’t assume anything until you have it in your hands. Once we have the keys to the new house in our hands we will be happy, but until then…. anything can change.
Sold!
I drove by the new house today to see if the survey had been done yet so I could see our property line. The survey wasn’t done yet but the “For Sale” sign had been changed…
Home Video Tour
Ronda, Warren, Todd (our real estate agent), and myself went to the new house today to do our inspection. As us guys were doing the inspection, Ronda was doing a home video tour with narration. The video is just over twelve minutes long and you will need quicktime to play the video.

We’re buying a house!
Our offer on the house has been ACCEPTED! Our loan has been APPROVED! Now all we have to do is close on the loan and get the keys. We are expected to close on the 31st of October. We plan on moving in November. We hope that in early December we can have a party in our new 25×26 rec room. Will you join us?

Update on house hunting
After a very long day of house hunting Ronda and I have finally decided on a house. We have made an offer on a house on the south side of town. The house has 2800 sq ft of usable space. The house also has an 580 sq ft two car garage. We made the offer late this afternoon and hope to hear something back tomorrow. Click here to see more information about the house.
