Panera Observations

Panera Bread LogoToday I decided to work out of Panera Bread instead of the very quite 800 square foot office that we call 451 HQ. Now that Chris and Bryan are no longer with us (may they rest in peace) it is just Kim and I working on separate ends of the office. Sometimes, like today I just felt like I could use some noise, some human interaction, and maybe a bagel and orange juice.

As I’m sitting here blogging I catch myself starring at the different people that surround me. In one corner we have the “free loader”, the guy that doesn’t even buy a cup of coffee. In another corner we have the “Over 50″ group and then we have the “I’ve never been to bread place other than Subway” group. The only person that really bothers me is the “freeloader”. Should I even care about this guy? Oh wait, now another “freeloader” has joined him. They are taking up a six person table and using the internet, the internet that I helped pay for by actually buying food and drink unlike these guys.

I do believe the “rules” of internet access usage state:

When deciding where to sit, please consider that a table for 6 may not be the ideal spot for a party of one. We ask you to leave our larger tables for our larger groups.

I agreed to the rules, I’m obeying the rules, I bought a bagel and orange juice. I say we put a ban on the “freeloader”. What do you think?
