So today I’m heading to my data center in Atlanta to setup the first of many virtualization clusters. We have spent a lot of money in new equipment, software, and training. Now it’s time to put everything together and virtualize our data center. We are starting with six Dell R805’s. These servers have 8-cores, with 64 GB memory. So these are not your average servers.
Basically for the non-tech visitors to my blog, we can now use one server to do the task of what ten or more servers use to take. Plus we save on power and space. So this is a good thing.
